Prayer for the week Take my life, and let it beConsecrated, Lord, to thee;Take my moments and my days,Let them flow in ceaseless praise. Take my will, and make it thine:It shall be no longer mine,Take my heart: it is thine own;It shall be thy royal throne. Take my love; my Lord, I pourAt thy feet its treasure-store.Take myself, and I will beEver, only, all for thee.AmenFrances R. Havergal (1836-1879) Some of you may remember hearing this prayer as a hymn. I remember singing it as a child. Consider using the prayer for the week daily in your prayer schedule. If you don’t have a daily prayer schedule, consider starting one. There is no better way, during this time of social distancing, to build up your spiritual relationship with God, than through daily prayer. She was a true friend. Karen and I traveled the country together for years. I could call her any time and ask if she wanted to go on a trip and she always replied “Sure. Where do you want to go?” We traveled to Branson and the Smoky Mountains too many times to count. We traveled the east coast numerous times to visit her family or my friends. A couple of those times we visited with Bill Alford who used to be a member of St. Stephen’s. We traveled to New Mexico to see her son Marc and his family. We even traveled to CA to Clive Foy’s 90th birthday and to see her sister she hadn’t seen in a couple of decades. I will always have those treasured
